May 18, 2017 – Los Angeles, CA - Singer-songwriter and Gameface frontman Jeff Caudill has premiered a new music video for his song “Reset The Sun” today at NewNoiseMagazine.com. The heartfelt song is the title track of his newly released EP, Reset The Sun, which is available now for purchase at iTunes and stream at Spotify. The EP is also available at indie record stores on limited edition vinyl (RSD 2017 exclusive).
“This song wraps up the story of the EP,” says Caudill. “It's about struggling with forgiveness and moving on, or starting over, and the idea that no matter how far away you go, you can always come back.”
The song provides an earnest backdrop for touching video as Caudill’s lyrics of new beginnings are found on postcards from times past.
“I recorded the song live in one take at my home studio,” Caudill adds. “I wanted it to be real and raw. The video was shot in Galveston, TX by Upstart Film. It's so simple yet so effective. It feels exactly how I wanted it to feel.”
Caudill is best known as the frontman for influential emo-rock band Gameface, who were an important part of the late 90’s Revelation Records scene alongside bands like Judge and Texas Is The Reason, and went on to influence many bands over the last few decades. The band went on indefinite hiatus in the mid-2000’s and briefly reunited in 2014 to perform a handful of shows and release their 6th studio album, Now Is What Matters Now.
For the last decade revered Gameface frontman Jeff Caudill has stepped out of his scene to become in his own right a prolific Americana singer-songwriter. His music, inspired by bluesy-rock, indie rock and country, showcases his incredible gift of riveting songwriting and captivating vocals, as heard on the new EP.
