NEWS: Foals To Release DVD & Black Friday Vinyl, Win Q Award For Best Live Act

Foals are releasing their first-ever DVD, entitled Live at the Royal Albert Hall in the US on October 29, 2013. The DVD was recorded during a sold-out show at the historic London venue on March 28, 2013.

 

The standalone Blu-ray DVD comes with an array of additional features: four music videos ("Inhaler", "My Number", "Late Night" & "Bad Habit"), Holy Fire HD audio, CCTV sessions ("Bad Habit", "Stepson", "Late Night", "Milk & Black Spiders", "Bluebird" and "Moon"), Blogotheque ("Late Night") sessions, a making of the album documentary entitled Nothing Left Unsaid and three additional tracks from the Royal Albert Hall. The Holy Fire CD/DVD deluxe also comes with Nothing Left Unsaid. The iTunes DVD also comes with CCTV sessions plus the three additional RAH tracks, and The Holy FireiTunes Deluxe includes: CCTV sessions, plus additional remixes of Holy Fire tracks "Inhaler" (Tom Vek's Wheezemix), "My Number" (Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs Remix), "Late Night" (Koreless Purple Cowboy Remix), "Late Night" (Solomun Remix), "Bad Habit" (Alex Metric Remix) and "Out of the Woods" ( Kulkid Remix). The Nothing Left Unsaid documentary and "Late Night" (La Blogotheque session) are also included.

 

The Oxford five-piece will also be releasing the CCTV Sessions in the US on November 29th, 2013 as part of Record Store Day. The limited-edition 12" vinyl features audio from their video series filmed using CCTV. Tracks include "Milk & Black Spiders", "Bad Habit", "Stepson", "Late Night", "Bluebird" and "Moon". CCTV SESSIONS will only be available at independent record stores in North America.

 

On the heels of a largely sold-out US summer tour that included slots at Coachella, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza and Outside Lands, Foals are returning to the states for a string of December radio shows to support Holy Fire.The Flood & Moulder-produced release has received effusive critical praise: "Foals have established themselves as one of the most exciting bands in the UK" said Q, who gave the album four stars. NME gaveHoly Fire a rare 9/10 review, declaring "2013 is in safe hands," and VICE agreed, saying "they're back and their f**king good." Foals and Holy Fire are nominated for the 2013 Mercury Prize and they just won the Q Award for Best Live Act. Last Call with Carson Daly is airing their third Foals segment on October 24th on NBC. It will feature "Providence" and "Spanish Sahara" shot live at LA's El Rey Theatre.
