The group, which has released one self-titled studio recording, chose one of its most anticipated live performances at the historic Trenton's Patriots Theater at the War Memorial to capture its hard-charging blues attack.

"The War Memorial is a beautiful venue," said Plumeri, a native of New Jersey's capital city.  "It's sadly the only REAL venue in Trenton still standing that has history, class, and great acoustics.  It is the sight of many memorable performances throughout my career, so it has special meaning to me."

The release captures a total of 12 tracks, culling from the band's debut CD and blues classics, as well as a few favorites from Plumeri's solo album, "Bishop of the Blues," done with a distinct Blues in Disguise twist.

"This recording goes to show that we can match anything on record, and then kick it up a notch!" Nix proclaimed.  "That goes for our original tunes as well as the covers.  The five classics that we chose were transformed into the 'Trenton Blues' style, and the tracks from 'Bishop of the Blues' took on a whole new life."

The synergy of the two longtime friends and collaborators - joined by Angelo DiBraccio (sax), Nick Hutton (acoustic guitar), Jerry Monk (bass), Marty Paglione (drums), and Michael White (drums) - shines through on the 66-minute DVD and 77.88-minute CD, filmed in high definition and directed by Joe Cap, a graduate of Hofstra University who has worked with FUSE TV, DGIT, Jim Jones, Juelz Santana, and Bam Margera.

"My appreciation for the blues was heightened by working on this project, and it was a true pleasure to work with such talented people  ," Cap said.  "Generally, I am set to work with people in the hip hop realm, however this project allowed me to understand the transcendent nature of this genre of music.  I hope that everyone enjoys these videos as much as myself and crew enjoyed creating it."

The group's debut album received tremendous critical reviews:

"Don't dig into 'Blues in Disguise' expecting meandering blues jams.  This raucous-yet-tightly-knit musical offering validates why the term 'Trenton blues' represents an ongoing, viable, and, most likely, way-overlooked facet of the blues genre."  -- Willie G. Moseley, Vintage Guitar Magazine

"'Blues in Disguise' is a nonstop groove-fest that falls somewhere between the great Chess Records dates of the 1950s, the horn-laden pomp of Roomful of Blues and the six-string workouts of The Allman Brothers Band. TJ Nix's diabolical diatonic harp skills float a string of melodic ideas that mesh perfectly with guitarist Paul Plumeri's daring jazzy and funky phrasings. 'Blues in Disguise' is just as heady as it is heavy." -- Will Romano, author of Big Boss Man: The Life & Music of Bluesman Jimmy Reed
