Steve and Mark met at the age of 7 in the school choir and forged a close musical bond learning to play guitar together, growing up just minutes apart. They encountered Vinny playing with another band in their early teens and quickly recognised his talents. Jason completed the line-up in 2011, and Kodaline was born.
The band played a number of UK and European festivals over the summer which kicked off with a sold out performance at Paradiso in Amsterdam and included performances at Glastonbury, Reading and Leeds as well as was on the bill supporting Bruce Springsteen in London.
