PHILADELPHIA -  David Latham & The Strangers, the new solo project of David Latham McSween, member of the singer/songwriter music duo "McSween," will take the stage at this year's Gospel Rama on September 28.

After the intense and personal loss of a loved one in early 2013, new songs emerged that didn't fit the material that had been previously released by McSween. The new songs had a different energy that flew southward, back to the Indie Rock roots of Carolina - David's home state.

"Come as strangers," David said. "Leave as friends. That's what I tell folks when they ask about the name."  With the online digital release of the new single "Witness," the band sets out on the open road to play for new strangers each night and make a few friends along the way.

Gospel Rama #18 is a free and outdoor (rain or shine) event that runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Philadelphia's Love Park.
