In advance of tomorrow night's kickoff of their first-ever North American tour, the acclaimed Norwegian "blackjazz" group SHINING has posted two new live videos that provide a sneak peek at what fans can expect when they see the band live in the coming days.

First, an unedited one-take video of "I Won't Forget" -- the first single from new album "One One One" -- that recently debuted on Norwegian national television captured the band performing the song live in the streets of their native Oslo. Shot with one video camera and three microphones, the setting of the performance carries special significance, according to front man Jørgen Munkeby: "The reason we chose this location is that these are the buildings where SHINING's studio and rehearsal rooms have been for the last seven years. As you see, it's all about to be torn down and/or converted into apartments, just like they do all over the city now, since investors earn much more money building apartments than preserving cool buildings with arts and music."

Second, a live video of "One One One" track "The One Inside" filmed at last month's Øya Festival -- Norway's biggest annual live music event -- has also been posted. The clip captures SHINING's unique blend of tight playing and playful improvisation and demonstrates why their Øya performance was hailed by Q Magazine, which praised the band's mixture of "metal bebop, prog and classical," as one of the festival's top sets.

The final chapter of SHINING's avant-garde "Blackjazz" trilogy, "One One One" was released in North America via Prosthetic Records earlier this year. Mixed and co-produced by Sean Beaven (NIN, Marilyn Manson, Slayer) and mastered by Tom Baker at Precision Mastering (A7X, Deftones, Ministry), the album was described by Noisey as "a corrosive and creative hybrid of industrial vocals and beats, jazz signatures and black metal aesthetics."
