NEW YORK (September 24, 2013) – Wolfcolony, brainchild of singer-songwriter wolf and producer Neal Sarin, debuts its anticipated EP WELCOME TO THE WILD SIDE today. The seven-track collection features “Beauty”, “Calling” and “Youth”, which were released online as singles this year to an overwhelmingly positive response.

"Finally releasing my music feels like the flood gates to my mind have opened for all to experience,” says wolf. “WELCOME TO THE WILD SIDE is a preview of who I am as an artist. Every word, every lyric, every melody embodies a part of me."

In November 2012, wolfcolony set out to deliver a unique blend of electronic indie pop characterized by a lush, lo-fi atmosphere and encapsulated by the enigmatic image of a wolf. Based in New York and Los Angeles, by way of Paris, the 23-year-old spent the winter with producer Sarin creating what would become WELCOME TO THE WILD SIDE.

During live performances, wolf performs his music disguised in a wolf mask, transforming into a dynamic powerhouse of raw creative energy and immersing himself fully into his art. Wolf enhances his music with high-impact elements complemented by organic, bare arrangements and avoids the over-production that is common in electronic music. His idea of an innovative, interactive show entitled "Choices" will be showcased at future shows.

“People struggle every day to cope with the burden of reality: some simply face it, taking life as it comes, while others modify their reality,” says wolf. “ ‘Choices’ will examine the personal dichotomy within this paradigm.”

WELCOME TO THE WILD SIDE can be downloaded for free exclusively at wolfcolony.com. The full-length album is scheduled for release in December.
