NEWS: BLACK PUSSY: Portland Stoner Pop Outfit Confirmed For Sabertooth Music Festival

Following Black Pussy's video premiere on Metal Injection last week (watch HERE) and the announcement that their sophomore album, Magic Mustache, will be released through Made In China Records on February 17th, the band has also been confirmed to play Sabertooth Music Festival at the Crystal Ballroom in Portland, Oregon on February 6th with Sleep and Nothing.

Tickets are available now at THIS LOCATION.

The infamous, infectiously catchy and ever-restless stoner-pop outfit was named for the original working title of The Rolling Stones' mega-hit "Brown Sugar"--a blatantly anti-racism tune. The past few years have seen them touring nonstop, including a North American stint with ex-Kyuss legends Vista Chino. For the past two years, the group has worked on heavy, psychedelic pop songs with not only Portland recording engineer Adam Pike (Red Fang, Norska, Black Elk, etc.) but also the legendary Kyuss founding drummer and multi-instrumentalist Brant Bjork, and the culmination of years of hard work, psychedelic trips and perpetual touring brings to life a '70s-influenced, hide-your-daughters-because-they're-coming-to-town rock 'n' roll attitude that sounds like Tarantino directing a Thin Lizzy video in the low desert.

Black Pussy's forthcoming album, Magic Mustache, promises to take the feel of rock legends Deep Purple, Thin Lizzy and Hawkwind and combines it with the heaviness of stoner-rock giants Kyuss and Monster Magnet and a potent dose of pop sensibility reminiscent of The Cars and Queens Of The Stone Age. Magic Mustache will be released through Made In China Records on February 17th. Keep an eye out for more details as this year draws to a close. In the meantime, take a psychedelic journey through space where vintage gear acts as the controls, and sound waves are the highways in the album's first single, "For The Sake Of Argument."

The video version of "For The Sake Of Argument" premiered on Metal Injection at H ERE, and is also available as a single HERE.

Black Pussy is: Dustin Hill (vocals, guitar), Ryan Mcintire (guitar), Dean Carroll (drums), Aaron Poplin (bass), and Keith "Chief" O'Dell (keyboards)
