Prosthetic Records is pleased to announce the signing of the Icelandic dissonant punk / indie-noise quartet MUCK.

MUCK is a fresh and urgent export from Iceland's vibrant creative underground. Formed in Reykjavík in 2007 as young scholars of all things raw and heavy, the band has organically crafted their riotous sound from hardcore roots and throughout several EPs and their 2012 full-length debut "Slaves."

MUCK has honed its art through frenetic live performances, equally happy at no-holds-barred DIY punk shows and experimental performance art events. They’ve toured underground European clubs with Denmark’s Hexis and Whorls, broadened their horizons across the U.S. with performances alongside Ceremony, Castevet, and Citizen’s Arrest and found themselves invited to perform at New York’s art residency, Clocktower. Closer to home, they’ve commanded a premium slot at the prestigious Eistnaflug Festival and been a serious highlight at the Icelandic Airwaves events over the past few years. Watch a recording of the band performing one of their tracks, "Nirvana," live on KEXP radio during the 2013 Icelandic Airwaves Festival below!

MUCK recently recorded a new studio album, "Your Joyous Future," with Icelandic producer Fridrik Helgason.

Venomous, forward-thinking and discordant, the record -- mastered by Alan Douches (Converge, Baroness) -- will be released in February.

“We're super-excited about being a part of the Prosthetic roster," the band says in a statement. "Having the support of such a bad-ass label will help us move to the next level as a band. Our new album was recorded live in our studio and we feel like it really captures the energy that we're about. It's a punk album, and it hits pretty hard. 2015 is our year. Get ready.”

In the meantime, the band will play two special showcases at this year’s Icelandic Airwaves Festival in Reykjavík, which kicks off this week:
11/5 - Húrra @ 10:30 PM (On venue)
11/6- Gamla Bíó @ 9:00 PM (On venue)
