To continue their “Winter Is Coming” campaign, Imminence Records is pleased to announce that they have signed Italy’s atmospheric death metal outfit Synodik. Lead guitarist Leandro Scotto had this to say on the signing, “We are very excited to announce that we have signed a deal with Imminence Records for the release of the brand new EP. We feel their team will help us reach those next steps in our career.” With the signing, also comes the release of the band’s newest single entitled “When The Parallels Fall.” The single is being exclusively premiered on the metal leaning YouTube channel It Djents HERE. “When The Parallels Fall” is the lead single of the band’s three track label debut A Matter Of Perception. The EP, which features two of the three tracks clocking in at over seven minutes long, is the band’s follow up to their 2012 full length Sequences For A New Matrix that combined powerful death metal and a sci-fi backbone. The artwork for the EP was done by Fallujah vocalist Alex Hofmann.
A Matter Of Perception will be released January 13th with Leandro commenting, “We are using the EP to mark a new era for the band after two years have passed since the release of out self-produced full length. The concept behind the music arises from the love and enthusiasm for the contemplation of the universe and its arcane structures and paradoxes, and this concept is a true passion that really inspired the music.” Leandro went on to explain, “The EP is a journey that starts from the observation that the ways by which we can experience and explore the universe are conditioned by our limited point of view on reality, for example influenced by innate instincts and a determined conception of time. The structure we live in maybe is not the world we perceive. Our perception plays a great role in our experience because it filters the reality. It filters everything. In sub-atomic world, the Quantum Mechanics deny the Theory of Relativity, that theory that rules our macroscopic world, from our everyday lives to supernovae explosions. When we watch deeper in the structures of reality everything seems to be non-sense and in contrast to what happens in the world we know.”

About Synodik: Synodik is an Italian band born seven years ago with the purpose of offering a powerful and strongly personal take on death metal. The band members’ musical tastes, deeply different from one another, all firmly converge into the band’s songwriting process. In 2008, Synodik released their self-produced four-track demo Drown In Pain for a limited run of 300 copies that quickly sold out before the band released their new single, “Dehumanized,” in 2010. The band’s first full length album, Sequences For A New Matrix, which was recorded at Fabio Palombi (Ritual Of Rebirth, Nerve)’s Melazeta Studios and mastered by Tommy Talamanca (Sadist). The full length is a journey through spatial landscapes and desolated wasteland scenarios. The listener is plunged into the atmosphere of an apocalyptic future that is not much dissimilar from a well-known reality. At the end of 2014 Synodik signed with American based Imminence Records and will release their new EP, A Matter Of Perception, on January 13th, 2015.
