About the inspiration behind the new single, Night Riots' frontman Travis Hawley explains, "'Break' was inspired by a friend's drink getting spiked with a hallucinogenic drug at a party. It made me start to realize that not all people are good, and we have to keep our wits with us and our guard up with who we surround ourselves with."

Produced by Eric Palmquist (Bad Suns, Trash Talk, Waaves, Mars Volta), Howl, was written while the band was touring in promotion of their 2013 EP release, Young Lore. "We escaped and hit away at Palmquist Studios with our producer [Eric Palmquist], driving out our demons, exploring them and channeling the stories into our music," explains Hawley. "We pushed ourselves harder than we ever have before to break free of any creative boxes we had surrounded ourselves with in the past. What we came up with were songs written for the night. They are songs for driving at dusk through the desert or for lightless back roads with the moon coming through the trees. They are stories of life's yearning and acceptance along with the duality of life... that without darkness there is no light."

With praise pouring in from the likes of MTV, FUSE, Huffington Post, KROQ, All Things Go, NYLON, AV Club and Filter, and sharing recent bills with bands including Cage The Elephant, Walk The Moon, Meg Myers, OK Go, K.Flay, Step Rockets, The Mowgli's, Wild Cub and Youngblood Hawk, NIGHT RIOTS is setting the alternative underworld ablaze as swift and smartly as their brooding, melody rich and timeless songs have already endeared them to critics.
