NEWS: SnowGlobe Announces 3 Day Passes Sold Out, Late Night Shows, Big Air Details, & More
LAKE TAHOE, CALIFORNIA –SnowGlobe Music Festival, happening in South Lake Tahoe December 29-31, recently announced its schedule for the festival’s official Late Night shows. 3-Day Passes and 1-Day December 31 Tickets to the 4th annual event are sold out. A very limited number of 1-day Tickets for December 29 and December 30 are still available at www.snowglobemusicfestival.com. Hosted each winter in one of the country’s most stunning mountain landscapes – the Sierra Nevada Mountains – SnowGlobe is a unique music festival, ski/snowboard adventure, and destination New Year’s Eve celebration all rolled into one.
SnowGlobe 2014 (#SG14) performers such as What So Not, Cherub, Emancipator, Bro Safari, Odesza, Flux Pavilion and over 20 more will hit the stage at 10 official after parties at state-line venues including The Showroom and Blue Nightclub at Montbleu, Tahoe Dixie, Teps, and others. This year, the festival proper hosts headliners Skrillex, Zedd, Flume, Disclosure (DJ SET), and Porter Robinson. Big Air, SnowGlobe’s ski/snowboard jump showcase, is a tangible example of the festival’s unique integration of music and winter sports. 2014 Big Air will highlight almost 20 local pro and amateur skiers and snowboarders as they drop out of the darkness on a scaffolding tower, hitting a jump launching them over 30 feet above the crowd in between sets at the Main Stage. Throwing down 540’s, 720’s, corks and a variation of flips, spins and grabs, the athletes fly more than 40 feet in distance - with the creative SnowGlobe lighting pointed right at them, resulting in some of the most unique visuals you’ve ever seen at a festival. Athletes confirmed to participate in Big Air 2014 include skiers Kyle Smaine, Colby Albino and Alex Dorsynsky, snowboarders Jackie Lyle, Miles Hallen, Jordan Nield, Todd Pearson, Joanna “Pnut” Dzierzawski, and many others.
SnowGlobe recently announced the winners of the #SG14 x Wavo Talent Contest. The festival received almost 100 artist submissions, with hundreds of fans participating in the voting process. Ultimately, SnowGlobe Headquarter chose from the small list of finalists. Johnathon Pablo, Griffin Stoller, and Safirehave earned themselves a spot on the SnowGlobe 2014 bill. SnowGlobe is proud to collaborate with various partners to help make planning travel easy for fans. Ticketholders coming from parts of the Bay Area, Marin County, and Sacramento can get to South Lake Tahoe via RYDE, an innovative crowdsourcing software platform that provides transportation to live events. Fans can book lodging through Hotels for Hope's SnowGlobe reservation page to choose from dozens of nearby lodging options hand-picked to fit a variety of needs and tastes. For every night a lodging accommodation is booked by SnowGlobe patrons, $2 will be donated to charities that seek to help children live happier and healthier lives. Also available are Lake Tahoe Shuttle passes – to get fans to and from the Montbleu Casino and the festival site, and all points in between.
Keep Tahoe Blue will be on site to advocate, educate and collaborate with SnowGlobe patrons. Attendees are encouraged to stop by their booth inside the festival grounds to learn about opportunities to assist in preserving Lake Tahoe, including participation in beach cleanups. SnowGlobe 2014 will be donating money toward Lake Tahoe Blue’s important efforts.
