February 14, 2014 - Crystal Kay debuts her first track in the U.S. today, 'Busy Doing Nothing.' The video for the song, directed by Benny Boom, premieres today on MTV Iggy and fans can click here for a first look and listen to this anthemic pop track.

In celebration of this Valentine's Day, 'Busy Doing Nothing' is a playful response and instant sing along for everyone with the BDN partner in your life that has made you want to scream "Go get a job or something!"

Crystal Kay comes to NYC via Japan, where she began her career in her teen years as a singer, songwriter and actress.  She has sold millions of records in Japan, but her eyes have always been on the U.S.  She grew up in awe of the Jacksons, both Michael and Janet and she notes with a knowing giggle, "I naively thought when I signed my first record deal that it meant that I was going to have a worldwide platform like Michael and Janet."  She continues, "I have learned a lot and have had a really great career in Japan, but I have never lost that drive from my teen years to make it in the U.S.  So I packed my bags and moved to NYC.  As they say, if you can make it there, you can make it anywhere."

Born of globalization's collision of cultures and people, Crystal Kay is a true child of the 21st century.  She wears her cultural, genetic mash-up with ease in NYC.  "I am half black and half Korean, but I was raised in Japan, I have three cultures in me and I was often not around anyone who looked like me. There is something about NYC that really makes me feel at home, all these cultures jammed into this little island.  I relate to that and really feel at home here."
