February 26, 2014 — New York, NY — The first-ever House of Lies soundtrack will be released digitally on March 4 via Strange Cargo/Manhattan Records. Chris Douridas. a two-time GRAMMY®-nominee (American Beauty, Shrek 2), has served as Music Supervisor for the hit Showtime series since it debuted in January of 2012, has compiled an extraordinary selection of songs from the show’s first three seasons. See below for track listing.

The video for “This Love Is Here To Stay” – a song by acclaimed Norwegian artist Thomas Dybdahl, who is signed to Strange Cargo/Manhattan Records – will premiere on Showtime this Saturday, March 1. The evocative track will be heard in its entirety in Episode 10 of Season 3, premiering on Sunday, March 16. The song is placed in what is considered to be a pivotal scene in show’s three-year run.

GRAMMY®-winning producer Larry Klein worked closely with Douridas to bring the 12-song collection to life. The House of Lies Soundtrack is the inaugural release from Klein’s Strange Cargo/Manhattan imprint.

Chris Douridas, who is also a longtime DJ at highly influential public radio station KCRW, states “I couldn't be more proud of the project. First of all, I'm very excited to be working again with an old friend, Larry Klein (the album's co-producer). The last time we worked together was on Allison Anders' Grace of My Heart. Secondly, the show itself and its cast and crew are sterling. But most importantly, over the course of the first three seasons, we've had the opportunity to showcase so many amazing new artists. It's the new artist focus that really distinguishes the soundtrack's line-up.

Gary Clark Jr.'s searing "Bright Lights," which starts of the soundtrack, was the end credit song of the show's very first episode. Of the four songs that are exclusive to the soundtrack, two are artist debuts. "Brains Out" marks the first US release from Swedish singer Kim Cesarion, and "Illusions of Time" is a worldwide debut from Berlin collective Kiko King and creativemaze, but to me the centerpiece contributions are Norwegian singer Thomas Dybdahl's "This Love is Here to Stay," which underscores a highly anticipated scene (airing March 16th), and Michael Kiwanuka's stunning album closer, "It Always Comes Back Around," an original song written for the show's season finale (airing April 6th).”

"Chris Douridas and I have known each other for years, and when I started my label Strange Cargo at Universal, I immediately thought of trying to work on some projects with him. He has a kindred aesthetic to mine in many areas, and always has something fresh to hear,” said Larry Klein, President/Head of A&R of Strange Cargo. “When he approached me about House of Lies I thought that it was a great idea for us to work together on it. The show is terrific and I love the music that he has brought to it. It's exactly the type of project that I was hoping to bring to The Capitol Music Group with Strange Cargo, and everybody at Manhattan and Capitol is excited about it."
