NEWS: JUNIUS kicks off European tour, debuts new track from upcoming EP

JUNIUS' upcoming EP, "Days of The Fallen Sun," has begun to build critical acclaim, including glowing reviews from Alternative Press (who praised its "stadium-sized hooks and ethereal melodies") and MetalSucks (which called it "heavy and passionately melodic...the guitar rock equivalent of a 3-D IMAX experience"). In anticipation of its Feb. 18 release, the band has unveiled the new song "A Day Dark With Night," which can be streamed here: http://junius-official.bandcamp.com/track/a-day-dark-with-night-3.

Exclusive pre-order packages are currently available via the Prosthetic webstore at store.prostheticrecords.com/bands/junius, while a digltal pre-order is currently underway at Bandcamp. The 12" vinyl edition will be offered in two variants: 180-gram black wax (limited to 500 copies) and an exclusive bone variant (limited to 200 copies), which can be seen below. Along with an included download code for the EP, all vinyl orders will also include two exclusive digital bonus tracks -- new, previously unreleased remixes of tracks from their groundbreaking 2011 Prosthetic debut "Reports of The Threshold of Death." Today, JUNIUS kicked off their European tour alongside label mates WOLVES LIKE US and German post-rockers Long Distance Calling. The tour will see the band travel throughout most of Western Europe before returning to the States for a headlining run with A Storm of Light. Full dates can be found listed below.

Co-produced by the band along with Will Benoit at Radar Studios, "Days of The Fallen Sun" is described by the band as a prequel to their 2009 release “The Martyrdom of a Catastrophist,” which explored the controversial theories of scholar Immanuel Velikovsky. The EP features four full-length songs that are each preceded by atmospheric interludes. The complete track listing is as follows:
