(New York, NY – March 19th, 2014) – KXM is proving that they are a new musical force to be reckoned with as the release of their self-titled debut, KXM, steamrolled its way on to the charts. The Rat Pak Records debut landed at #31 on the Billboard Top 200 selling over 9800 units this week. The album also hit #1 in Hard Rock & Metal on Amazon, #6 on the iTunes Top Rock Albums chart, and #7 on the Top Current Rock Albums chart. This chart position marks the highest debut in the history of Rat Pak Records. KXM is comprised of dUg Pinnick of King’s X on vocals/bass, George Lynch of Lynch Mob/Dokken on guitars and Korn’s drum maestro, Ray Luzier, rounds out the powerhouse trio. The band takes its name from the combination of the member’s other projects: K from Korn, X from King’s X and M from Lynch Mob. The album was produced by KXM and Chris Collier, who is known for his work with Lynch Mob, Lita Ford and Tommy Bolin.

"This cd was way more special to us than just 3 seasoned players in a room jamming, I'm so glad that the fans are appreciating this music & are buying the cd,” states Ray Luzier. “We can't wait to play these tunes live for you! Please spread the word, we're all keeping rock alive & kickin!!"

The self-titled debut of KXM is something truly unique. The album has been receiving praise in the media with The Rock Pit raving, “This album really is something very special: powerful songs that shine out amongmost of the music you will hear this year,” and Unsung Melody declaring, “This album deserves to be heard!” From the opening drum riff of “Stars” to final chord on “Human Friction,” KXM is an album that is sure to resonate with fans from the band’s original projects while garnering new ones as well. Songs like “Gun Fight,” “Faith Is A Room” and the first single “Rescue Me” are sure to be instant favorites. A video for “Rescue Me” was released and can be seen here: http://youtu.be/cD40-CJljas. The video has been viewed over 100,000 times since it premiered on Billboard on March 6th. The band shows their softer side on the ballad “Never Stop” along with their dark side on the tale of domestic violence, “Sleep.” A trailer for the album can be seen here: http://tinyurl.com/KXMTrailer.

KXM formed in early 2013 when dUg, George and Ray spoke about trying to jam together. At the time it wasn’t clear what would come from those jams. The only thing that was clear was that these 3 musicians, at the top of their game, wanted to play together. The self-titled debut, KXM, was born from those jam sessions and is now an important piece in each band member’s musical legacy. In a world that constantly searches for new and unique music, KXM delivers all the power and punch that one would expect from these high level players!
