NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 15, 2013) – Viewers of the Sportsman Channel’s popular show, "On The Road," (OTR) are in for a wide array of sporting experiences throughout the remainder of March.  Follow the expeditions of Country star Aaron Lewis and young entrepreneur Rock Bordelon as they criss-cross the country in search of big gator in the Louisiana bayou, wary gobblers in the cold hills of Montana and Wyoming and whitetail buck in Western Kentucky with special guests Rob Watson and fellow Country Music artist Chuck Wicks ("Stealing Cinderella").  For more information on "On the Road," please visit ontheroadoutdoors.com.

"What a thrill it was to take the OTR crew to my hometown of Hessmer Louisiana and hunt gator,” stated business entrepreneur Rock Bordelon.  "It's quite an experience to hunt gator, and quite another to hunt them with bows," he laughs. "It's certainly not for sissies."

March 15   Gators Vs. Bows -- Spring is in the air, and that means turkey season is right around the corner. But what to do in between seasons. Why not hunt alligators?  During the open alligator season in Louisiana, Rock got the chance to take Mr. Mal and Mrs. Linda to his hometown of Hessmer to try their luck at ‘gator huntin’ – but there was a catch.  They were going to use their bows instead of guns. You definitely don’t want to miss this week’s episode of OnThe Road.

March 22   Quest for the Merriam Gobler -- The 2013-2014 fall and winter hunting seasons are now closed across the country, and despite the cold temperatures spring is in the air. And as the days grow longer, many hunters are preparing to switch their focus calling in wary gobblers.  And the On The Road crew is no different.  This week join Rock and his family as they head off to Montana and Wyoming in search of hard-gobbling Merriam's turkeys.

March 29  Search for Big Bucks puts Wicks in the Sticks -- Don’t miss the early season bow hunt in Western KY as Aaron and Rock are joined by Chuck Wicks as they face the heat and try to score on a velvet whitetail. OTR producer Rob Watson also gets a day in the stand to harvest a velvet buck.

"Hunting and fishing is in my DNA," chuckles Aaron Lewis, who struggles to find time to balance his busy schedule as a top Country Music artist with his outdoor lifestyle.  "I've hunted since I was barely old enough to walk. Viewers should agree.  According to a recent report by the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation, 37.4 million people over the age of 16 hunted or fished in 2011, a whopping 9% more than the previous years. Yet Americans report working longer hours than at any time since statistics have been kept (longer than anyone else in the industrialized world).
