“In the middle of writing Barefoot And Pregnant we had a momentary bout of writer’s block and Luis said “Why don’t you just write lyrics about the one thing in the world that’s priceless to you?”. So, of course, I wrote a love song about our tour dog Quito. He’s been on tour with us since 2009, and puppy love is something everyone can relate to.” - explains singer/bass player Kelly Ogden

“It was about time they let me write some lyrics! Now where’s my publishing royalty check!?" – says Quito the Tour Dog

Barefoot & Pregnant was funded by fans through a PledgeMusic.com campaign and is the follow-up to the group’s 2012's self-titled LP, which followed two albums on Joan Jett's Blackheart Records and a 2004 debut through Lookout/Panic Button Records.

“Punk has been given a much-needed shot of adrenaline by The Dollyrots” – New Noise Magazine

The band has also recently released an acoustic album titled LOVE SONGS, WEREWOLVES & ZOMBIES. "We put together our last album through Kickstarter, with one of the Backer Exclusives being the “We’ll Write A Song For You” option. The result was a 15-song collection of all-original acoustic songs written for our fans using their stories and ideas. The whole shebang fit together really nicely so we decided to release it alongside Barefoot And Pregnant as a companion bonus album. Love Songs, Werewolves, & Zombies is unlike anything we’ve ever done before musically and is also a love letter to the fans that support what we do.” – explains guitar player Luis Cabezas
