NASHVILLE, Tenn. (April 4, 2013) – Tune in to the Sportsman Channel this month for more hunting adventures on the popular show, “On the Road (OTR).” Join Country artist Aaron Lewis and young entrepreneur Rock Bordelon, who take time away from their busy schedules to pursue one of their favorite pastimes, hunting. Criss-cross North America with them and the OTR crew during April—there’s a new adventure around every turn. For more information on “On the Road,” please visit ontheroadoutdoors.com.

April’s episodes find the OTR crew bow hunting in the Saskatchewan Providence and Llano, Texas.  Then, Aaron, the OTR crew and producer Rob Watson as they meet up with the gang from Sportsman Channel’s Rich-N-Tone Calls (RNT Rich-N-Tone -V), in search of their favorite foul, duck and crane in the Midwest.

“It was cool hooking up with the RNT guys,” says Aaron Lewis. “These guys are the leading manufacturers in duck and goose calls in the United States. When it comes to hunting waterfowl, they know it like I know music, so getting out and hunting waterfowl with them was a real treat!”

“It is challenging to get everyone together, sometimes thousands of miles away from our family and work, for hunting expeditions…especially given that I’m on tour and currently recording and Rock is busy managing his multiple businesses” explains Aaron. “But the reward is enormous. There is just nothing in this world like being in the great outdoors, hunting and harvesting game with friends.”

Viewers should agree. According to a recent report by the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation, 37.4 million people over the age of 16 hunted or fished in 2011, a whopping 9% more than the previous years. Yet Americans report working longer hours than at any time since statistics have been kept (longer than anyone else in the industrialized world).
