Paul Stanley’s Face The Music: A Life Exposed Is a National Best Seller, Debuts #2 on New York Times’ Best Sellers List

KISS frontman’s memoir debuts in top five on multiple Best Sellers lists

(April 18, 2014 – Los Angeles, CA) – Face The Music: A Life Exposed, KISS frontman Paul Stanley’s account of just exactly what it was like to rock and roll every night and party every day, debuted at #2 on The New York Times’ Best Sellers list for print hardcover non-fiction for the week ending April 27, 2014. Additionally, Stanley’s memoir debuted on the Times’ Combined Print and E-Book best seller list and E-Book best sellers list at #3 and #13 respectively.

The memoir also debuted at #4 on the Wall Street Journal’s Nonfiction Best Sellers list, #3 on Publishers Weekly’s Hardcover Nonfiction Best Sellers list, and #4 on The Toronto Star’s Original non-fiction best sellers list.

In Face The Music, Stanley takes readers on the journey of his incredible highs and equally incredible lows, including being born with a congenital deformity of the inner ear leaving him virtually deaf on his right side and an unlikely candidate for rock superstardom. Face the Music is an unflinching portrait of a guitar god and rock icon, a chronicle of the stories behind the famous anthems, the many brawls and betrayals, all the drama and pyrotechnics on and off the stage.

Sir Elton John called the book “both honest and inspirational” with “amazing tales from one of rock’s great frontmen,” while legendary guitarist Jimmy Page says “Paul Stanley proves himself as an artist in music and on canvas and now with a great book.” Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters raves, “Paul is a great man who has achieved great things. His story is inspiring and motivating for anyone who dreams big. As he said in 1978, ‘Wouldn’t You Like to Know Me?’ The answer is yes and now we finally do.”
