NEWS: SEVENDUST HIGHLY ANTICIPATED ACOUSTIC ALBUM, ‘TIME TRAVELERS & BONFIRES,’ OUT TODAY
April 15, 2014 – When SEVENDUST--Lajon Witherspoon (vocals), Morgan Rose (drums/vocals), Clint Lowery (guitar/vocals), John Connolly (guitar/vocals) and Vince Hornsby (bass/vocals)—asked their family of fans for suggestions of which songs they should record for a new acoustic album, the response was immediate and enormous. The result of all that love and support is TIME TRAVELERS & BONFIRES, available everywhere today on the band’s 7Bros. Records, in conjunction with ADA Label Services.
Fans can check out an exclusive full album stream on GuitarWorld.com’s “Acoustic Nation” here: http://www.guitarworld.com/acoustic-nation-exclusive-stream-sevendust-time-travelers-and-bonfires-premiere.
The band’s current headlining acoustic U.S. tour, “An Evening With SEVENDUST,” launched April 1 in Athens, GA and isn’t stopping anytime soon. Dates continue through June 26, with more dates to come throughout the summer.
As RockRevoltMagazine.com praised in a live review of opening night: “Overall, ‘An Evening With SEVENDUST’ is the ultimate showcase of the collective talents of a band that has stood the test of time and continues to deliver poignant, solid and relevant songs. The level of musicianship was off the charts and I don’t care if you’re a SEVENDUST fan or not, there is no way you can see this show and not appreciate the level of mastery on that stage. Add the intimate setting, personal stories, reworked classics intertwined with the six new songs from TIME TRAVELERS & BONFIRES and you WILL have an evening that you most assuredly won’t soon forget.”
TIME TRAVELERS & BONFIRES is the follow-up to their ninth studio album, BLACK OUT THE SUN, which debuted at #1 on Billboard’s “Top Hard Music Albums” chart, as well as #18 on the “Top 200 Albums” chart, #4 on the “Record Label Independent Current Albums” chart, #5 on the “Top Current Rock Albums” chart, #14 on the “Overall Digital Albums” chart and #17 on the “Top Internet Albums” chart.
SEVENDUST is already racking up rave reviews. To wit:
“TIME TRAVELERS & BONFIRES shines with energy throughout the twelve tracks...This is a must have for any SEVENDUST fan of old and the acoustic format potentially opens their music to a wider demographic...just as intense as any of their previous studio releases.” --RockRevoltMagazine.com
“The whole album is truly something special and all SEVENDUST fans should check it out...along with people who enjoy the mellow side of rock music...with substance.” -- Zoiksonline.com
“TIME TRAVELERS & BONFIRES connects on every level with the established fanbase. For a band that gets so much from their fans, that’s just what you would expect...The most underrated band of the last 20 years does what they always do here. They deliver exactly what their fanbase would want. Solid from start to finish...” – Pitriff.com
