About Kiko Loureiro: Versatile, virtuose and truly unique in his style. These are good adjectives to describe Kiko Loureiro, an incredibly talented guitarist who has been writing his own story, innovating constantly since the early 90s. Kiko was pioneer in opening the way to Brazilian musicians to large Rock n Roll and Heavy Metal festivals, like the famous Monsters of Rock in Brazil. But he went beyond, as he paved the way to Brazilian music abroad by playing in large and renowned festivals such as Loud Park in Japan, Wacken Open Air in Germany and the Printemps de Bourges in France. His versatility, though, took him even further. Kiko is pretty impressive to watch live, whether his is playing with Angra, prog band He co-founded in 1991 or playing with a traditional Brazilian Choro group. He has played along side Brazilian legends like Nelson Aires, Toninhio Ferragutti, Toquinho and Ulisses Rocha and was the only Brazilian guitarist to be invited to play the tribute show to the great guitar master, Jason Becker. It is in this mature and solid phase of his career that we have the opportunity to document on a DVD a show in celebration of all the styles this great musician likes and plays so well.
