Swedish soul-pop singer and songwriter Erik Hassle, who recently rocked a sold-out North American tour with U.S label mate MØ, has released an official video for his Sohn/Nick Ruth produced single "Pathetic" this week. The song is a standout track from his EP "Somebody's Party," which was released to rave reviews on Record Company Ten/RCA Records.

Since its release, "Pathetic" has been remixed by various electro and R&B artists, including Vince Staples,Chrome Sparks, and Chrome Canyon. The video was directed Ray Brady and features the Stockholm-bred Erik singing and moving against florescent backdrops, punctuated with multiple video treatments and abstract imagery. Erik "spins the Miguel-and-Prince meter to high" as his "choice cuts of falsetto, curly locks propelled northward, leather jacket..." (The FADER), echo the visual's stylish, yet simple, concept.

Erik's powerful and infectious EP, "Somebody's Party" has received critical acclaim across the board, including support from Interview Magazine, The FADER, COMPLEX Magazine, Vogue Magazine, V Magazine, Revolt TV, PAPER, and Pigeons and Planes.

The EP also features guests such as Chicago hip-hop artists Vic Mensa and Erik's up-and-coming label mate Tinashe. The astounding collection of six tracks offers an exciting glimpse of this young and talented artist's abilities. The 25-year-old boasts a number of successful singles in the U.K and European charts over the years and most recently penned the track "Can't Remember to Forget You" for Shakira and Rihanna.

Erik is currently living in Los Angeles and is working on his full-length studio album. Catch Erik with Swedish alt-pop trio Nonono in San Francisco on August 11 and in LA on August 12.
