Canada's acclaimed pop multi-instrumentalist and Juno Award winner Lights has released a new music video for "Portal," the intro track off her third studio album, Little Machines, out on September 23 via Warner Brothers Records. The black-and-white visual finds her driving down a country road, inevitably ditching her car to search for a portal on foot. Watch the video via the Refinery29 premiere or YouTube.

"There are so many things that make 'Portal' special to me," says Lights.  "It started as a one-chord experiment and was finished in New Mexico on a solo writing getaway. The drumbeat of the song is actually comprised of me recording baby belly drumming when I was full term with my daughter. Naturally a song so unique gets special treatment, and this video is no ordinary video. Myself and a small, talented crew spent the day in an otherworldly glade about an hour outside of Toronto meandering through elvish woods and driving old cars. It was perfect."

Little Machines featuresfirst single, "Up We Go," and was produced and engineered by Drew Pearson, with key songs/singles mixed by Mark "Spike" Stent (Madonna, U2, Beyonce), and was recorded in both Los Angeles, CA and Vancouver, BC. The anthemic first single, "Up We Go," is available now to purchase digitally or as an instant grat when you pre-order the full album, and can be heard on YouTube and on iamlights.com. Lights will start her national tour in Boston, MA on October 25th.
