NERO DI MARTE -- whose moniker is Italian for the pigment of iron oxide that produces a deep, dark, intense black that, when in contact with other colors, can permanently coat or noticeably transform them -- are based in Bologna, Italy. Their self-titled Prosthetic debut received extensive critical acclaim (including a near-perfect rating from Revolver) and was included on several peers' "Best of" lists, including Luc Lemay (Gorguts), Dave Davidson (Revocation) and Dustin Boltjes (Skeletonwitch). The band has toured and performed extensively throughout Europe alongside acts such as Godflesh, Carcass, Immolation, Cynic, Decapitated, Red Fang and Svart Crown, and recently made their North American live debuts in support of Gorguts and Origin.
