From superstar DJs to world-renowned authors, comedians and celebrities, podcasting has become a mainstay in today’s entertainment industry. And in such a saturated digital market, creating a show that makes the charts and catches attention from the onset is almost unheard of. Almost.

Combine the mind of former nightlife guru and nationally syndicated rock DJ Ralph Sutton with globally celebrated comedian Big Jay Oakerson and you have a breakout show that’s tongue-in-cheek hilarious with a super-sized serving of scandal.

The SDR Show (short for Sex, Drugs and Rock-N-Roll), delivers everything its name implies. The show features candid interviews with some of the world’s most interesting characters, from Top 10 Billboard artists such as Living Colour and Tesla to internationally acclaimed porn stars like Natalia Starr and Layton Benton. The duo even featured a professional pot brownie baker, just to cover all the bases.

Combining three of America’s hottest topics, the SDR show has picked up a momentum that usually requires months of heavy promotion. In its first month, the show averaged over 6,000 unique listeners, and is predicted to supersede 10,000 in its second. It’s also making waves across the charts, coming in at #6 on iTunes’ New & Noteworthy chart and breaking into the Top 100 Comedy Podcasts chart.

“People can hear music anywhere. They can't hear personality anywhere.” - Ralph Sutton, SDR show co-host and co-founder.
