Known for their chart-topping hits, Counting Crows have returned to the top of the charts yet again with their 6^th Top 10 album.  The band is riding high off an album release week that saw their highly anticipated album, Somewhere Under Wonderland (released September 2 on Capitol Records), debut at #6 on the Billboard Top 200 charts and their first single “Scarecrow” enter the Top 10 of AAA Radio.  Counting Crows wrapped up a sold-out U.S. summer tour last week and the band will be setting out for Europe in November, making stops in London, Milan, and Paris among other cities.

“Somewhere Under Wonderland,” the first album of original material in six years, may be the band’s best since its 1993 debut, “August and Everything After,” with a handful of songs(the sprawling, almost prog-y opener, “Palisades Park,” the lean ballad “God of Ocean Tides”) that rank among the band’s finest. - Washington Post

“…my gut tells me this is the best album they’ve made in 15 years.” - Grantland.com

“…an incredibly lyrical and meaningful album that rocks hard but still finds moments for intimacy.” - AbsolutePunk.net

"A sense of personal renewal permeates “Somewhere Under Wonderland,” […] Performing other artists’ beloved songs on “Underwater Sunshine” led to a burst of creativity that helped reshape the band’s approach. Nowhere is that more apparent than in Duritz’s deeply personal new songs." - Seattle Times

“The band find that same type of balance in the album’s musical direction, a colorful and emotionally rich palette of sounds that combines past recording styles, flavors from covers album “Underwater Sunshine,” and the spontaneous spirit of their live performances.” - Consequence of Sound

“Adam Duritz and crew return with one of their stronger works.” - USA Today

Counting Crows - Adam Duritz (vocals), Jim Bogios (drums), David Bryson (guitar), Charlie Gillingham (keyboards), David Immergluck (guitar), Millard Powers (bass) and Dan Vickrey (guitar) - have sold more than 20 million albums worldwide after exploding onto the music scene in 1993. For more information, visit countingcrows.com.
