NEWS: Post-rock quartet JUNIUS added to ROADBURN FEST 2015 line-up

Still riding waves of critical acclaim for their new EP "Days of The Fallen Sun," Brooklyn post-rock melodists JUNIUS are excited to announce their participation in 2015's Roadburn Festival during the Houses of the Holistic event curated by Ivar Bjørnson (Enslaved) and Wardruna's Einar “Kvitrafn” Selvik.

Bjørnson commented on the announcement, “One of the highlights of the preparatory curator phase was the moment when I realized we could invite JUNIUS. I got their new EP and man, this band just keeps getting better. We toured with them in the U.S. back in 2011. I really dug their albums before the tour, but seeing them live the first night was immense! I got seriously (!) into them after between one and two seconds of the first song. That’s where I still am. If you don’t know this band, do yourself a favor and check them out. Heavy, groovy and dreamy music!”

JUNIUS guitarist Michael Repasch-Nieves added, “Meeting and touring with Enslaved in 2011 was a highlight of our recent years on the road. We were so honored to be invited by Ivar to perform at this special 20th edition of Roadburn and are very excited to reunite with our brothers from the North!”

Lauded as "the strongest and most sensuous work they've done" (Pitchfork), "Days of The Fallen Sun" was recorded at Radar Studios in Clinton, Conn. and co-produced by the band and Will Benoit (Caspian, Constants). Acting as a prequel to their 2009 full-length breakthrough "The Martydom of a Catastrophist", the album commemorates the quartet's 10th anniversary. You can pick up a copy of the album on CD or limited-edition bone-colored vinyl vinyl, including two exclusive digital bonus tracks via the Prosthetic webshop: http://store.prostheticrecords.com/bands/junius.

Stay tuned for more news on JUNIUS in the coming weeks, and in the meantime, take a listen to the mesmerizing single "Forgiving The Cleansing Meteor" below!
