The Preatures by Cybele Malinowski

“Somebody’s Talking” is from The Preatures’ forthcoming album, Blue Planet Eyes, out September 30^th in the US on Harvest Records. The album was primarily recorded and produced at Public Hi-Fi with Spoon’s Jim Enoduring the three-and-a-half weeks following SXSW. Guitarist Jack Moffitt finished production and mixed the album on the road and at the band’s Doldrums Studio in Sydney.

Praise for “Somebody’s Talking”:

“Hailing from Australia, these pop-punk charmers mingle funk guitar muscle and new-wave synth sheen on their slick new single, “Somebody’s Talking,” a jubilant ode to overcoming homesickness. Frontwoman Isabella Manfredi alternates between a smoky Chrissie Hynde croon and a pubescent Michael Jackson yelp during three minutes of melodic sunshine.” 4.5/5, Billboard

“A deliciously catchy foot-tapping tune full of sass and momentum. Isabella Manfredi’s seductive vocals are ripe with complexity and intrigue, mingling with a hard-driving rhythm and high-energy guitar riffs.” 8/10, Glide Magazine

"a hip-shaking groove, a sing-a-long chorus and the beautiful, seductive voice of singer Isabella Manfredi. You can hear every note as the verses slide gracefully into the sweeping choruses and back into that steady and danceable groove. With the smooth production of guitarist Jack Moffit and Spoon’s Jim Eno as well as the songwriting excellence of the group, the band’s debut is sure to be one of the strongest of the year." The Wild Honey Pie
