Los Angeles, CA -- WatchTheDuck (WtD) is pleased to announce their forthcoming EP -- The Trojan Horse -- out November 20, 2015 via DIM MAK / Epic Records. The highly anticipated follow up to 2013's Anatidaephobia boasts executive production by T.I., Pharrell, Tricky Stewart, and Steve Aoki, with additional guest spots from Schoolboy Q, Afrojack and Candice Pillay. The first single "Making Luv To The Beat" featuring T.I. and DJ E-Feezy is available now to audiences worldwide. Fader recently premiered the song and championed its "heart-racing EDM production" and "oozing soul-inflected hook". It has since drawn support from Beats1, Power106, Complex, XXL, and more.

WatchTheDuck is the brainchild of childhood friends Jesse Rankins (vocalist— A.K.A. “The Voice”) and Eddie Smith III (producer/DJ—A.K.A. “The Sound”). Growing up in Montgomery, Alabama, they were introduced to soulful music through local marching bands and church choirs at a young age. During college, they started producing under the moniker The Bama Boyz. Their bold beats caught the attention of Mathew Knowles, who hired them as in-house producers at Houston- based Music World Entertainment and soon the duo were writing and producing for Beyonce, Destiny's Child, Solange, and others. Seeking a desire to develop themselves as performing artists, they relocated to Atlanta in 2010 and officially formed WtD.

The group’s name is derived from a phrase that became a mantra of sorts: "WatchTheDuck". "Everybody sees the duck traveling smoothly on top of the water, but nobody sees it kicking hard as hell under it, struggling to stay afloat."

Embracing "WatchTheDuck" as a true way of life, they began creating music that reflected their divers musical influences: pop, hip-hop, soul, electronic, dance, trap, booty shake, dubstep. The results are explosive, both in the studio and on the stage. WtD
has toured extensively around the globe, drawing large crowds at SXSW, Parklike, BeatPatrol, TomorrowWorld, and more.

Their debut EP Anatidaephobia (2013) featured the huge single "Poppin Off", which is currently featured on the Dope motion picture soundtrack. They followed it up with an expansive mixtape titled Don't Watch Me (2014), presenting fresh collaborations withBusta Rhymes, Cee-lo Green, and T.I.. Tip additionally tapped WtD to lend vocal contributions to his 2014 masterpiece Paperwork. Billboard hailed “Light Em Up," (ft. WtD and Pharrell) as the “darkest and strongest cut” on the record.  WtD also sings alongside Jeezy on "G Shit".

This year WatchTheDuck is thrilled to share the next chapter in their wild ride with world. The Trojan Horse is the duo’s most enthralling and dynamic work to-date, expertly taking the pillars of their previous projects and bringing it to a new level. The EP features six brand-new songs, brought to life by heavy, rumbling bass, soundscapes and catchy, soaring melodies. The lead single, "Making Luv To The Beat" is out now on DIM MAK / Epic Records.
