This Friday, Laval, FR's Birds In Row will release their sophomore LP Personal War.  The album blurs the lines between hardcore, punk, and related sub-genres, and navigates through melancholic seas to shape beautifully hook-laden songs.

Personal War's first proper song "Torches" breaks into a sprint from the get go.  Drenched in expressive guitar work, it tells the tale of life's light overcoming death's darkness.  The race continues with "O Dear" and "Weary", two musically infectious songs that are lyrically entangled in the complexity of love.  "Worried" then wanders into view as a beautifully melodic piece, slowing to an introspective shuffle before the chaotic "Snakes" picks up the pace.  Again, all of this leads to emotional closer "Marathon", a song that serves as Birds In Row's declaration ethical and emotional compromise.  Stream Personal War in its entirety today via Decibel Magazine before it's available tomorrow from Deathwish Inc.
