“To me, ‘Eraser’ embodies the music we grew up on maybe better than any other Coheed song to date,” says drummer Josh Eppard. “We were little sponges in the ‘90s when the Pumpkins and Nirvana were creating a landscape all their own. I hear those bands in our song ‘Eraser' and I’m extremely proud of that.”

The band is giving fans insight into each of the tracks from The Color Before The Sun with a series of behind-the-scenes videos, which launched last week via Yahoo (“You Got Spirit, Kid” -http://yhoo.it/1MBuVdF) and continued this Monday via Loudwire (“Here to Mars” - http://bit.ly/1L0A0Nn). A peek into the making of “Eraser” arrives Oct. 6 via PopMatters.

Maxim Magazine and Rolling Stone included the album in their fall music previews, calling the outfit’s pause in the ongoing Armory Wars “a dramatic departure” (Rolling Stone). The Nerdist, who premiered the band’s hijinks laden video for “You Got Spirit, Kid” (https://youtu.be/8eklHJeB6mc), said the new music “features much of what has made Coheed and Cambria a force for the last two decades.” Overseas, Metal Hammer dubbed the 10-song collection a “vibrant coalition of perfect pop melodies, irrepressible charm and storytelling nous.”

Digital pre-orders for The Color Before The Sun include instant downloads of “You Got Spirit, Kid” and “Here To Mars,” with “Eraser” available tomorrow, Oct. 2.
