New Orleans-based Heat Dust released their self-titled debut on The Flenser last month and now they're on the road to meet up with Thou/The Body collaboration for a West Coast tour that kicks off Thursday, October 15th.  Check out tour dates, which include several matinee shows with various lineups, listed below.

Heat Dust formed in 2011 and is comprised of members Clayton Hunt (guitar and vocals), Shawn Tabor (bass), Christopher Stein (drums) Jasper den Hartigh (guitar and vocals).  After a lineup shift and a few releases, the band got to know each other as musicians and wrote and recorded Heat Dust, which was released on September 25th and was called "the perfect sound for a debut: confident, powerful, and immediately familiar... a truly stunning album" by Life Is Noise.  With this self-titled record, Heat Dust have perfected their sound; dark post-punk with expressionist lyrical content that's influenced by Joy Division, the Chameleons, Wire, Public Image Ltd, Gang of Four, and Killing Joke.  Listen to Heat Dust in its entirety on Tinymixtapes or directly on Soundcloud.
