On the wheels of Matthew Koma’s debut solo release, “So F*ckin’ Romantic,” which has been streamed nearly eight million times on Spotify, Koma, RCA and Beatport partner up for the official “SFR” Remix Contest. For the first time ever, fans and producers alike have the chance to remix the hitmaker behind GRAMMY Award winning “Clarity,” and the voice behind various chart topping singles including Tiesto’s “Wasted,” Zedd’s “Spectrum”, Hardwell’s ”Dare You” and many more.

Launching today, one lucky remixer will win a grand prize that includes a collaboration production session with the hitmaker himself. Koma will pick his favourite instrumental track from the winner, write a topline for it, help select and secure a vocalist to sing the track, and will remotely produce the vocal track. In addition to collaborating with Koma, the winning remixer will win an opportunity to remix Matthew’s next single, an A+R meeting with RCA (via phone, or in person if in New York, NY), a signed Matthew Koma merch pack and a Blvd Supply clothing prize pack. The winning remix of “So Fuckin’ Romantic” will be released on Beatport via RCA.

Recently, Koma collaborated with fellow New Yorkers, The Knocks, for the tongue in cheek “I Wish (My Taylor Swift),” released via Big Beat/Neon Gold Records. The wistful single features The Knocks’ signature production accompanied by Matthew Koma’s polished vocals, accentuated by some acoustic guitar flourishes, a taste of the duo’s forthcoming debut album. On the song, The Knocks profess their love for Taylor Swift, while waxing philosophical about Los Angeles summers and more. Check out their video here.

Koma was also called upon by bass icon, Flux Pavilion, for his latest album Tesla, where they collaborated on the infectious future bass record, “Emotional,” available now. Be on the lookout for an acoustic video for “Emotional,” later this month.

About Koma: As a songwriter, vocalist, producer and DJ, Koma is a virtually unmatched triple threat when it comes to crafting hooks. With 8 Beatport #1s, 5 Billboard Top 10s, and a #1 Billboard single GRAMMY-award winning song "Clarity" which he co-wrote with Zedd, there is little question why Entertainment Tonight named Matthew Koma “the Man with EDM’s Golden Touch.”

Koma Burst onto the scene with Zedd’s “Spectrum” and “Years” by Alesso, featuring and co-writing on both, as well as writing Sebastian Ingrosso & Alesso Feat. Ryan Tedder’s “Calling (Lose My Mind)”. Since then Koma has been the mastermind behind various chart topping hits by DJ Mag #1 DJ Hardwell on his anthemic “Dare You,” Tiesto’s “Wasted,” Zedd's “Find You”, and Showtek’s “Cannonball (Earthquake),” which landed at #1 on UK Dance Charts. The genre-bending artist has also featured and co-written with Giorgio Moroder, Steve Aoki, Afrojack, Sebastian Ingrosso, Fedde Le Grande, Audien, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, and more.

It has been a busy year for one of the industry’s most sought out songwriter and producer. So much so that RCA’s pop princess Britney Spears has called him for his talents, as well as other RCA recording artists including Kelly Clarkson, Gavin Degraw, Giorgio Moroder, Brooke Candy, Tinashe and Hillary Duff to name a few. Proving to be more than just a pop-EDM talent, the Seaford born songwriter/producer is currently working with country mega star Shania Twain for her highly anticipated comeback album. Koma also remixed Bruce Springsteen’s “Rocky Ground”, which The Boss chose as his radio/video single.
