About the EP, singer Danny Fields shared "The Lenses We See Life Through is a concept EP about how a person's outlook on life changes throughout that person's lifetime.  Each song represents a stage of life progressing from birth until death." He continued,"since the album is not about a particular person, the messages can be applied to all who listen. The songs range from an ambient yet progressive sound to a heavier, more effervescent vibe. This record is dynamic, lively, full of emotion and will appeal to a wide variety of music tastes."

Clay Cages is an alternative/indie rock band from Nashville, Tennessee. Their upcoming release The Lenses We See Life Through is a concept EP that comes almost exactly a year after their debut EP, Tension, which Absolute Punk rated an 8/10 stars. With musical influences ranging from post rock to classical to traditional hardcore, they bring a unique, yet accessible sound to the table.
