NEWS: "INTO SPACE" WITH NIGHT GESTALT VIA FADER *EXCLUSIVE VIDEO PREMIERE*

Today Night Gestalt – the experimental side project of Dada Life’s Olle Cornéer –reveals a new video for “Into Space” exclusively via The Fader.

As Night Gestalt, Cornéer manipulates simple arpeggios and his own vocals to create texture and patters resulting in starkly complex arrangements on the upcoming album ONE [Endless] out January 15 via Slow Future Vault. The 8+ hour album tells the story of a spaceship ("ONE") controlled by a computer ("SHE") carrying the last of humanity from earth destroyed.

Shot in an abandoned warehouse in the Swedish countryside, “Into Space” is part of a series of videos related to the album’s apocalyptic theme: "We actually shot all the videos in places that have been left to decay: a mental institution, a burned down forest, an industrial mine, explains Cornéer. “Since the whole album is about space, emptiness and leaving everything behind I wanted the videos to look like that too - without any actual story taking place in space. This song is the first I finished on the whole album… After that the rest of the album came easily."

The follow up to his debut LP ONE  (released May 2015), ONE [Endless] furthers Night Gestalt’s conceptual journey into the endless void. All songs consist of an arpeggio (a broken chord) played by a simple bleep - and vocals. Nothing else. No beats. No added chords. The exception being the last song - which is even less. However, the sum of ONE [Endless] is bigger than the parts.

THIS IS THE STORY OF “INTO SPACE”

Only a few weeks after we had left the destroyed earth something went wrong. This event was later to be called ZERO. But it wasn't a start to something new. It was the beginning of the end.

We lost control of the ship. We didn't collide with anything. There was no crash. The ship just changed course, and no one could change it back. After checking the navigation system we realized the ship would continue straight into space.

The fact that we weren't on our way to our new home, but instead straight into nowhere, didn't change our lives that much.

We still had hope.
