In 2014 alone, Warfield packed the media with bookings on late night TV, major press breaks in print and online media, and live shows that blew away critics and fans alike. After performing the brassy song"Blackbird" on Late Show with David Letterman, Letterman himself called her "unbelievable!" After she tore up the stage on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, USAToday.com deemed it the "best [late night performance] in a long time." Her performance on Arsenio wowed SoulBounce who said LiV "radiated so much sizzling sensuality that she likely could've taken the stage wearing a garbage bag and sweatpants and still had folks eating out the palm of her hand." Print and online media were equally as awed, with coverage appearing in People, M Music Magazine, JET, USA Today, Rolling Stone, NPR, Entertainment Weekly, etc.

A seasoned performer who has played alongside artists like Al Green, B.B. King, The Roots, and most notably Prince, who she tours with as a member of his backing vocal group New Power Generation, Warfield describes her style as "alternative R&B Soul with a little bit of rock n roll," a perfect pairing live on stage with Prince who serves as Executive Producer on this latest effort. While she names Nina Simone, Tina Turner, and Mary J. Blige as a few of her biggest music heroines, it's Prince who taught her everything about being a performer.

Her album The Unexpected was self-produced and executively produced by Prince.
