“Make You Better”—the lead single from The Decemberists acclaimed new album What a Terrible World, What a Beautiful World—has reached the #1 spot on the Triple-A radio charts this week, marking the band’s second #1 song at the format following the chart topping success of “Down By The Water” from 2011’s The King Is Dead. What a Terrible World, What a Beautiful World also marked the band’s second Top 5 debut on the Billboard Top Albums Chart. Watch the “Make You Better” video starring Nick Offerman.
The Decemberists have also announced additional Spring U.S. tour dates across the Midwest and Southeast including a May 24 performance in lead singer Colin Meloy’s home state of Montana, and a June 4 appearance at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland.
