Lansing, Michigan – Rock fans will enjoy Wednesday, July 8, day two of the six day 2015 Common Ground Music Festival featuring Jane’s Addiction, In This Moment, Here Come The Mummies, Alien Ant Farm, Vandalay, Eyes Set to Kill, Kaleido and Ana, all set in downtown Lansing this July.
Jane’s Addiction will rock the Auto Value Stage on Wednesday, July 8th. The 1988 release of their incredibly influential album, Nothing’s Shocking, encouraged the band’s almost instant rise to fame. More than 20 years ago, the band was selected to headline the inaugural Lollapalooza tour, and Jane’s Addiction will be eligible for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame next year. While inducting the ‘Mountain Song’ performers into Guitar Center’s RockWalk of Fame, fellow musician Tom Morello accredited Jane’s Addiction for being “the band that changed music and led rock out of the hair metal wilderness of the ‘80’s.” It is a given the band will have ‘Been Caught Stealing’ the spotlight in Adado Riverfront Park on July 8!
Joining Jane’s Addiction is metal band In This Moment. The group that formed in 2005 has five albums, two that debuted on the Billboard 200. In addition to their recording success, they have performed on several notable tours and festivals including Ozzfest, Warped Tour, Mayhem Festival, Uproar Festival, and the Carnival of Madness tour.
By popular demand, Nashville-based Here Come the Mummies will be returning to the festival. Renowned for donning full mummy attire at their live performances, the Mummies’ funk sound is produced and performed by anonymous, rumored Grammy-winning performers, playing any of the instruments.
Also set to take the GM Pavilion stage on Wednesday, July 8th is American rock band Alien Ant Farm. Formed in 1995, Alien Ant Farm has released four studio albums, 4 top 10 singles, and received a Grammy nomination. The quartet has performed with groups such as Linkin Park, Papa Roach, Metallica, and have gained a following across the globe following extensive touring in the early 2000’s.
Vandalay, Eyes Set to Kill, Kaleido, and ANA will also join the lineup for an epic night of rock, funk and R&B music.
