'Freaks Like Me' is a power trio with members from Dublin, London and Boston and have just finished their Debut EP 'Philosophies For The Modern Ant'. The album was recorded in London, Boston and Holland and the band has been playing shows in Europe and the US in anticipation of the release.

Drummer Steve Kilroy first met Dave Eve in London in the early 2000s while recording an EP with 'Gods Little Joke' (Revolver records). Dave engineered and played bass on a couple tracks then later joined the band in the US for some touring. While playing in Ireland in 2007, they met Jon O'Connor in Dublin after a show and later reconnected with him after stumbling upon his youtube channel when they were looking for a singer. It was only after the band formed that they realized they had met that night in Dublin so call it fate call it chance whatever, the music just started to pour out and they knew had something special.

Recording the EP in 3 different countries gives the album depth and the kind of sonic variance and vibe you can't get recording in one place. Laced with infectious hooks and the added textures of acoustic guitars, cello and percussion, it delivers a dynamic and sometimes trippy feel. Dave's early life experience working at Abbey Road certainly helped give the band a kind of 'instant classic' sound they were looking for and the ability to record and produce the album themselves. Call it Grunge, call it Post- Punk call it whatever you want this is Freaks Like Me!
