NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 13, 2015) – Thousands are flocking to Music City this week for the SEC Men's Basketball Tournament at Bridgestone Arena, and the legendary Oak Ridge Boys will be part of the action.  The Grammy-winning group will help kick things off with the National Anthem at Sunday’s championship match-up which is being televised on ESPN at 1:00 p.m./ET.

Tenor Joe Bonsall describes the event as truly priceless. “Singing our National Anthem is always an honor.  However, Sunday will be very special for many reasons. First, we are all HUGE basketball fans and HUGE SEC fans as well. Also, the tournament is right here at home in NASHVILLE at our own Bridgestone Arena!  We are stoked beyond words,” he says.  “Kentucky vs. Vanderbilt??? Guess I am dreaming, but who knows? Seriously, this is really special for us to be asked to honor America and be a part of this great event,” Bonsall adds.

This is the first of 12 SEC basketball championship tournaments that Nashville will host in upcoming years.  Tickets for this year’s tournament have already sold-out.

Meanwhile, The Oak Ridge Boys have launched their 2015 concert tour, and continue to sell-out shows each year at venues across the U.S. and Canada.

In addition to the tournament game, The Oak Ridge Boys will be featured on SiriusXM’s Prime Country with host Deborah Allen (Ch. 58) this Sunday at 1:00 p.m./ET.  It will be an encore airing of the hour-long program.
