There are moments in the art world when there’s a palpable sea change, and you can feel something is about to shift. It's like the air charging with ions before the break of a storm.

In 1992 in South Florida, just such a storm broke on the music scene with Jack Off Jill. Even in a pre-internet world, their reputation for visceral, shrieking, blood-drenched crazed live shows was radiating like a live circuit across the country, eventually spreading to a worldwide audience of disenchanted, marginalized fans. The swelling crowd embracing Marilyn Manson, the Lunachicks, Lords of Acid, Babes in Toyland, Joan Jett, L7, 7 Year Bitch - all bands that Jack Off Jill would eventually tour and play with – were hungry for anti-heroes.

Despite their nasty, anti-social live reputation, the music industry couldn't ignore Jack Off Jill's growing popularity and rabid fan base. Critics praised JOJ as “riot-goth legends” (Simon Price, The Independent), and claim "Jack Off Jill may not have changed the world, but the listeners who embraced them are still entranced by the band's high-decibel madness, dark subtleties and brutal ardour." (Jason Pettigrew, Alternative Press)

Over the next eight years, the band would go on to release two studio albums including "Clear Hearts, Grey Flowers" with cover art by Los Angeles fine artist Mark Ryden, two independent recordings, a remix LP, and a compilation record.

Fifteen years have passed since the dissolution of Jack Off Jill, but what the band created in those eight years they were together is still just as powerful now as before. Their original fans, with their blacked out lips and buckle boots, have been joined by a whole new wave of disaffected youth not even born during those riotous times. Together, they’ve kept the Jack Off Jill torch burning, always hoping for a day when the women would return to the stage.

And that day is now upon us.

“This is not only a reunion, but a way for us to gather some of our favorite people in one place to celebrate what was and what should have been. Much like a cat, I have a need to escape, adventure, and sometimes even disappear for long periods of time…but I know my way home. And my home is on stage with my remarkably talented friends." - Jessicka Addams
