New York state upstarts Reckless Serenade are hitting the road with Victory Records veterans The Bunny The Bear in June. The band that's "making waves in the pop punk scene" (Under The Gun Review) with their mixture of power pop, post-hardcore, and punk will cross the east coast beginning June 5 before looping home for their hometown house party at the Guerilla Music Festival on June 27. The festival is the third annual event, each booked by Reckless Serenade guitarist Mark Neidhardt.

Coined after an Arctic Monkeys track of the same name, the high school friends in Reckless Serenade formed the band in 2012 in Mahopac, NY, instantly connecting after their musicality matched their ambitions. Their strong work ethic lead to a large local following while their brash playing and smooth songwriting recalls the likes of Coheed & Cambria and My Chemical Romance, earning praise from alternative listeners wherever they go.

Their latest two songs, "Autumn Eyes" and "Take Me Back to the Summer", were met with strong fan success and earned comparisons to Thriving Ivory and The Rocket Summer by AbsolutePunk. Their debut full-length, Chasing Lights, came out in August 2013, reaching the Top 30 at College Radio. Their earlier six song self-titled EP (Fervor Records) has been featured on Fox Sports, and single "Two Years Too Late" won mtvU's The Freshmen in May 2014, proving the band's music has inescapable staying power.

Reckless Serenade is Cory Brent (vocals), Mark Neidhardt (guitar), Steve Zeiss (bass), Matt Ruggiero (drums).
