NEWS: NECK DEEP Announce New Album Life's Not Out To Get You
Hopeless Records is thrilled to announce the release of Neck Deep's highly anticipated sophomore full-length Life's Not Out To Get You. The album will be released on August 14th, 2015 and is now available for pre-order now here: hopelessrecords.com/LifesNotOutToGetYou
The upcoming album, which was produced by Jeremy McKinnon of A Day To Remember and Andrew Wade (The Ghost Inside, Issues), was recently noted as one of Alternative Press Magazine's Most Anticipated albums of the year.
Additionally, the band has released the first single, "Can't Kick Up The Roots", along with its corresponding music video! To hear the song and watch the video, head to http://bit.ly/CKUTRvideo.
Regarding "Can't Kick Up The Roots," vocalist Ben Barlow explains, "Can't Kick Up The Roots is about my hometown of Wrexham in North Wales. At the time of writing it we had been away for 3 months in America, so home was very much on our minds. On one level it's about how much our hometown sucks - we really don't come from anywhere glamorous, quite the opposite in fact - but by the same token, that's what makes it ours." He continued, "Wrexham has the strangest charm, where we kind of take pride in the shittiness around us, and '...Roots' is about our love for where we come from in spite of its flaws. We've travelled all around the world for the past two years, seen some amazing things, and yet we're still super happy to come home to where we grew up."
Fans will have a chance to hear Neck Deep perform the new songs live this summer on the main stages at Slam Dunk and Redding and Leeds Festival in the UK! The band is also confirmed to perform main stage on the 2015 Vans Warped Tour. Tickets for the tour are on sale now at: http://vanswarpedtour.com/dates.
Formed in 2012, Neck Deep is vocalist Ben Barlow, guitarists Lloyd Roberts & Matt West, bassist Fil Thorpe- Evans and drummer Dani Washington. The band has been seen on the covers of major music publications such as Kerrang!, Rock Sound and Alternative Press Magazine. They were the recipients of the "Best British Newcomer" at the 2014 Kerrang! Awards and opened for pop-punk kings, Blink-182 at their sold out Brixton Academy show in London. Neck Deep was also chosen as one of Zane Lowe's (Radio 1) "Future 15 of 2015".
Their previous full-length, Wishful Thinking, was welcomed with critical acclaim and was #15 on Rock Sound's Top 40 Album of the Year, #30 on Kerrang! Magazine's Top 50 Albums of the Year and #23 on Triple J's Short.Loud.Fast Listeners poll.
