(New York, NY)- Red Sun Rising has revealed the album artwork and has launched the official pre-order for their debut album, Polyester Zeal.  Fans who order will receive two Instant Grat tracks for the songs “The Other Side” and “Push” - available  now on iTunes and at redsunrising.merchnow.com.  The Akron, Ohio native’s first album will be released on August 7th via Razor & Tie.   Polyester Zeal was produced by powerhouse producer Bob Marlette (Black Sabbath, Shinedown, Seether).

Listen to the infectious first single “The Otherside” here: http://www.vevo.com/watch/USRZR1514801.  The song offers a glimpse of the band’s melodic and anthemic sound that features lead singer Mike Protich’s ferocious and unique vocals.

Protich explains the band’s sound, “Red Sun Rising is what rock was built on but is not today's rock, but a new rock alternative. Subtle touches of blues mixed with the dark minor tonality of today. Our music allows the listener to travel through a song that is anything but linear. With soaring vocals we strive to find melodies that convey the passion of our thought provoking lyrical content and push the boundaries that rock today has somewhat forgotten.”

The band recently concluded a tour with Seether and is currently on tour with Nothing More.  Red Sun Rising will be joining the Pop Evil tour as an opener starting July 10th (tour dates below).  They also recently played Rock on The Range and Loudwire raved “Musically, melodically and vocally Red Sun Rising are a band to give a listen to and their live performance enriches their sound tenfold. Their new song “The Otherside” is truly infectious and it’s one you’ll have on loop for days.”

Red Sun Rising is Mike Protich (vocals/guitar), Ryan Williams (guitar), Tyler Valendza (guitar), and Ricky Miller (Bass/Vocals).  The band, from Akron, Ohio, came together in 2012 and is quickly becoming an Active Rock/Alternative music force. Protich and Williams grew up together and have been songwriting partners for half their lives.  Valendza, the uber young, and once child prodigy guitarist has been with the band for the past 20 months and has become a key part of the songwriting team.  Additionally, Williams and Valendza have perfected their “twin guitar” vibe reminiscent of the Gossard/McCready and Delson/Shinoda partnerships.  RSR is perhaps best known for the live performance and have spent the last 18 months supporting bands including Pop Evil, Seether, Sevendust, Shinedown, Chevelle and others.
