The “Sunkeeper” video which premiered on Culture Collide was shot by Fred Pelter in late Winter, in neighborhood parks and beaches of Chicago and combines images of Eurydice & Orpheus mythology to explore the track’s theme of lost love.

Comprised of brother/sister duo, Stanton and Vivian McConnell and rounded out by Steve Plock (drums), Mike Winegardner (bass) and Tommy Trafton (keys/synths), Santah have spent the better part of the year revisiting old friends and haunts on the road and perfecting a sound that Culture Collide called, “dynamic and raw.”

“Sunkeeper” is the first glimpse into what the band has been up to since last year’s Awwh Manand 2012’s You’re Still A Lover EP, with The Wild Honey Pie noting it’s, “the perfect illustration of that effortless mix —brining together atmospheric and airy guitar sounds with a seriously propulsive beat and sweetly sunny vocals. It’s just dark enough to work as more than a pop song and just poppy enough to keep you singing the hook for days.”

Santah’s ability to effortlessly layer soaring choruses and lush arrangements that have garnered praise from PASTE, Spin, Rolling Stone, Impose, MTV and Daytrotter who noted, “there’s a certain amount of loving that goes into all of the drops of Santah songs, that turns the concentration into a gossamer drink that goes down smooth and leisurely.”

Santah are on the road right now with select dates with Buffalo Rodeo and stream "Sunkeeper"here.
