July 28, 2015 -- (Burbank, CA.) - Mastodon are thrilled to announce they will hit the road in October and November for a fall North American tour with British metal icons Judas Priest, which kicks off on October 16th.  In addition, THE MISSING LINK TOUR (a co-headline tour w/ Clutch plus support from Corrosion of Conformity) also continues its forward momentum with new dates. All confirmed tour dates are below. That's a lot of "Mastodonian" live action for the masses!

Mastodon continues to ready new titles from their ongoing vinyl reissue series, which has already released stunning color vinyl pressings from their Reprise catalog to date:  Crack the Skye (2009)on baby-blue vinyl and Blood Mountain (2006) on solid yellow and transparent green vinyl. On August 28th, The Hunter will be reborn in resplendent solid red vinyl.  Their 2011 masterpiece drew critical accolades from the media:

• "Any song that starts with a singer yelping "I burned out my eeeeeeyes" is automatically amazing. This beat has, like a thousand guitars, plus drumming so sick that even sickdrummer.com (an actual site) would be frightened." - Rolling Stone
• "Like a monster movie back for the sequel, Mastodon continues to evolve...It's the sound of pure evil, and it is good." - Entertainment Weekly
• "Artistic integrity and incredible musicianship in crafting albums as seamless as any in the metal canon. They are without a doubt one of the most talented bands -if not the most-to arrive in the 21stcentury, and with 'The Hunter' we can additionally praise them for their versatility and ability to grow and evolve. Mastodon truly make complicated music seem effortless." - Decibel Magazine

At this point, Mastodon's "Asleep In The Deep," (track from their  current album, ONCE MORE 'ROUND THE SUN)  video has garnered frenzied headlines and dazzled fans with its lysergically-laced,  bizarre imagery as only one might expect from the twisted minds of Atlanta-based Special FX Guru, Shane Morton, and renowned American artist Skinner (cover artist for ONCE MORE 'ROUND THE SUN)which recently debuted on Adult Swim.  Click here to view.  Of course, once you've seen it you'll want to know how this piece of award-worthy filmmaking came to fruition.  Clickhere to find out.   Mastodon is excited to have a limited webstore exclusive bundle to celebrate the video which includes the "Asleep in the Deep" t-shirt and larger-than-life 24"x36" old school movie-style poster printed on 100# text paper.  Both the "Asleep in the Deep" shirt and poster feature the exclusive art by Skinner.  Order your exclusive Mastodon goods here.
