NEWS: Israel Nash Releases New Song "The Fire & the Flood"
“The Fire and the Flood”, along with single “LA Lately” and “Strangers” are available now on all digital service providers and the album can be pre-ordered via Apple Music by clicking here.
Israel explains, “Fires and waters are so powerful and out of our control. They elicit remarkable change in nature that forever impacts that which is around. For me, the song represents the unfortunate pains and struggles we encounter when change is at our doorstep. It's unavoidable, it's painful, but has an incredible ability to make us into something new again, maybe even something better than before.”
Following his critically acclaimed 2013 album Rain Plans, Israel Nash’s Silver Season was written and recorded on Nash’s 15-acre ranch in Dripping Springs, TX where he and his band built Plum Creek Sound, a 1,400 square-foot Quonset studio. Recorded to tape with Grammy-award winning engineer Ted Young (Kurt Vile, Sonic Youth, The Rolling Stones) back behind the boards, Israel Nash makes a bold return.
Influenced by the peaceful Texas hillside, the 9-song album ventures farther down the acid-soaked trail blazed by Rain Plans, arriving in lush and expansive territory. Here, Nash sounds more assured than ever, supported by his highly capable band and production inspired by psychedelic greats.
In support of the new record, Israel and the band will hit the road this fall on a North American headline tour. The tour will bring Nash and the band to 25 cities, starting on October 14th in Little Rock, AR and wrapping in Denver, CO on December 17th, 2015.
