Currently on a short break from their fall tour with alternative hip-hop artist Astronautalis, Oxymorrons hard work will culminate in release their debut EP, Complex But Basic. The highly anticipated project drops this Friday, October 14th via indie label Tommy Boy Entertainment (Ghostface Killah, Method Man, Nina Sky). When asked about the inspiration behind the project, front man Demi shared, “Complex But Basic is about taking the complexities of life and music, then delivering it in a relatable way. It sonically speaks to our genre bending, life loving, 1000% unapologetically being yourself attitude. It was a fun process and we are extremely excited to share it with everyone.”

Today, Oxymorrons have partnered with Alternative Press to give fans an exclusive first listen to Complex But Basic. In addition to the advanced stream, the AP feature hosts a heartfelt op-ed penned by front man Demi exploring the bands run in’s with diversity and stereotyping issues in both the alternative and hip-hop scenes. The thoughtful piece speaks to Oxymorrons message of encouraging people to liberate themselves from constraints, become more open minded and embrace individuality. In OxyNation, no one needs to be put into a box.
