“Muthafucka I’m baaack” growls Beware of Darkness’ frontman Kyle Nicolades in the band’s explosive new video for “Muthafucka”, the second single of the band’s latest LP Are You Real? out now Bright Antenna Records.

Delivering a blistering roundhouse of brazen guitar riffs, bouncing bass, and earthquaking drums, the “Muthafucka” video captures the group’s cocksure and eruptive live performance with visual effects as colorful and complex as Nicolades’ lyrics.

Director Ryan Scott Warren (Imagination Factory, Los Angeles) created the otherworldly visual environment on display in this video through the use of anamorphic lenses, ambient liquid atmosphere, lighting, and denotative bursts of pigment & concrete. As the track gains momentum, each power chord, each drum kick, each riff and bass bounce sends shockwaves through the atmosphere until Beware of Darkness are literally blowing the building apart with their music.

Are You Real? is the band’s biggest and boldest statement yet.  The 12-track collection serves as an urgent call to arms not only for Nicolaides, but for the band’s sound as well.  The music ushers the rebirth of a sound that is as refreshing as it is addictive, and goes much deeper than riffs. The album illustrates how an artist on the rise fought uncertainty and disillusionment to avoid flaming out. And, more importantly, how he has come through the other side revitalized and focused, and with the best songs of his young career.
